Well this is my big debut into the blogging realm and I must admit that I am a little nervous about such a challenging endeavor. It is my goal through this blog to update friends and family about my travels through The Peoples Republic (hence the name 'Harrison's Journeys in China'). As a debut, this blog is a sort of test run if you will. My hope is to use this blog as a travel journal to keep you, the reader, updated with pictures, anecdotes, and experiences that I record along the way. I will attempt to post a few times each week...
In three days time I will be traveling to a strange and distant land and although I have no idea what to expect, I know that this will be the trip of a lifetime. From May 14th to June 24th I will take on China. I will experience culture, stay in universities and hotels, meet new people, eat unheard of things, make new friends, and hopefully finish my senior thesis which by the way, is the reason I have to opportunity to go. It is a strange feeling to be three days out from something that has been in the planning process for 6 months or more. The past few years have flow by and despite my best efforts to slow it down, life is relentless to plow right on through. Anyway, the time is fast approaching and I will spend my last few days in the States making my final preparations.
